The Smokey Joe is a module built to the API 500 series format. It contains a rechargable battery which provides the short burst of high current in order to heat the cigarette lighter. Between ignitions the module uses the 500 chassis DC power to trickly charge the battery. Thermal protection cutoff and overload cutoff are built in to provide maximum protection for your 500 collection and your precious (smokey) studio.
